Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥ Education Success Story: Summer Bridge Students Rise, Graduate, and Thrive

The Morehouse Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥ Medicine Office of Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥ Education and Expanded Programs (OEEP) is proud to shine a spotlight on a powerful testament to the transformative impact of online education. This year, we celebrate three outstanding students who began their journey with us in the Summer Bridge program, advanced into our rigorous master’s programs, and have now successfully graduated — making meaningful contributions to the health and science workforce.

These three students exemplify the mission and vision of our online programs: to cultivate brilliance, expand opportunity, and foster the next generation of change-makers in science, health, and technology. From their first steps in the Summer Bridge program, these scholars demonstrated exceptional promise, resilience, and commitment. Their journey underscores the effectiveness of our structured support systems, mentorship networks, and career readiness training embedded into OEEP’s curriculum.

Meet Our Trailblazers:

  • Kaiyah Lindley â€“ Master of Science in Biotechnology

  • Sara Melese â€“ Master of Science in Health Informatics

  • Kiara Brotherton â€“ Master of Science in Biotechnology

These three graduates are more than success stories—they are proof of what’s possible when access, preparation, and purpose meet. They represent the ideals of the Morehouse Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥ Medicine and the immense potential of online education to elevate talented students into impactful professionals.

Their success is further bolstered by our continued partnership with GSK through the GSK Scholars Program, now in its third year. This initiative, in collaboration with the Office of Career and Connection, offers students invaluable experiences through financial support, expert mentorship, and hands-on learning with the innovative Medicine Development and Supply team.

We are thrilled to announce that Kaiyah, Sara, and Kiara were all accepted into the 2025 GSK Scholars cohort, a powerful affirmation of their capabilities and the strong foundation they built through Morehouse’s online programs.

The journey of these three remarkable students from Summer Bridge participants to GSK Scholars and Morehouse graduates is a shining example of the future we are building through online education. Their stories inspire us and remind us of the deep impact that opportunity, guidance, and determination can have.

Congratulations, graduates. Your success is our pride.
